Terms of Service

The Service

The Service helps you write photo slideshows with an AI model, render them on your own photos, and publish them to TikTok accounts you connect, either when you approve each post or on a schedule you set. The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.
• Give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Only connect TikTok accounts that you own or are authorised to manage.

Your content

• You keep ownership of everything you upload or create with the Service. You must own, or have permission to use, all photos, text, music and other material in your posts.
• You give us a limited licence to store, process, render and publish your content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending it to TikTok when you approve a post or have scheduled it.
• AI-written text can be wrong or unsuitable. Review what the Service generates; you are responsible for everything published to your accounts.

Posting to TikTok

• You must follow TikTok's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and Music Usage Confirmation, and, when a post is branded content, its Branded Content Policy.
• You choose each automation's privacy, comment and content disclosure settings, and you are responsible for disclosing promotional or paid content correctly.
• When you turn on scheduled posting for an automation, you authorise the Service to publish posts generated for that automation to the connected account at the times you set, using the settings you chose. You can pause or withdraw this at any time.
• TikTok may limit, delay, reject or remove posts, and limits how many posts an account can publish per day. We can't override TikTok's decisions.

Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

• post spam, misleading content, or content that breaks the law or TikTok's rules;
• impersonate anyone, or post to accounts you aren't authorised to manage;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• try to get around TikTok's or our limits, or interfere with the Service's security or operation.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Fees

The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans we will tell you the price before you are charged anything.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and disconnect your TikTok accounts at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing ae2200@nyu.edu. We may change or discontinue the Service, and will give reasonable notice where we can.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't guarantee that posts will be published at a particular time, reach a particular audience, or achieve any result. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or followers, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated terms.
